I noticed it in the Bahamas that most people were driving around early 2000s beaters. [/quote] That's because they are on an island and it costs $$$$ to bring a car on the island between shipping fees and government taxes/tariffs. So they import used cars from the U.S. that are 10 years old and have 130,000 miles that are cheap to acquire (but still expensive to import). [/quote]
