IMO this is precisely the rub.  [b]Government employees seem to think Americans aren't entitled to any job protections[/b], especially if there are foreigners that can do it, or it can be outsourced.  I totally get why Americans are upset with their government.  I personally could do without the DOL and their wage categories they set for LCAs.  Though, going after low hanging fruit like contractors and probationary employees is a little underwhelming, and Musk isn't going to do anything about job security in the private sector.  Maybe Musk II will be smarter.[/quote]
No they don’t. Maybe Musk and friends do, but there is no evidence rank-and-file government workers think this. Whenever this topic comes up on DCUM, I see more posters saying they think private sector workers should also have protection from arbitrary firings.[/quote]

You can see all these agencies.  NASA to DOA, DHS to DOL they're all of the impression that they need more foreign workers.  You can look at all the suburbs around DC and their Pro immigrant sanctuary laws.  They really don't care about American jobs.[/quote]
