We are more like a 3rd world country in that way. "Weak punishments" are usually for non violent crimes. Why do Rs think it's fine to allow people with mental illness to buy a gun?[/quote] The problem is lax policies and laws. Switzerland, Norway, and Finland all have high gun populations but very little crime. Why is that? [/quote]
