So well said. Reading, writing, and arithmetic. Period. Full stop.  Anything else should occur after hours (including assemblies, parties, SEL, etc etc.).  Focus focus focus. Enough with the distractions and nonsense. It’s not a social club or monastery or psychiatrist office or special needs clinic— it’s a SCHOOL.  Or it’s supposed to be. [/quote]
