Given Coppermines lack of recruiting, I expect many will leave for the other 3 top Maryland clubs very soon. I am sure they are currently plotting which girls are going where so relationships and friendships remain intact.
I don't think they will lose as many as people think they will. Coppermine may not have the most glorified history, as compared to others, but a top 2 team in the country is a top 2 team in the country. Top college coaches will be on their sideline regardless of the name on the front of the jersey. They also do have a solid history with some good D1 commits.
I agree. Feels like that club is putting a lot into the 2028 team and they have some spectacular players. Maryland boards are pretty obsessed with criticizing their style of play, and substitution strategies, but they seem to be pretty effective as a team. Guessing that if they can come close to their level of play from the last two years this season, that the team's core will hold together.
Great group of kids. Will be interesting to see how this NGLL season goes. If they have a good run as expected I think they will stay together for the most part. There will be some attrition but that is to be expected.
No reason for any players getting significant playing time to leave. Those who don’t play much may seek other alternatives
Skywalkers seems like the most likely beneficiary of any Coppermine departures, all things being equal with the other clubs. Great recruiting and a good player could make a name for herself fast on that team.
There won't be any departures of top players and definitely none to Skywalkers. Their time as one of the top clubs has come and gone. Everyone knows it except for a few Skywalker's parents. There may be a couple of lower-tier players for that team (still solid players) that go to SW Blue for playing time. As far as DC kids go, the only Baltimore area teams anyone should consider making the hike for are M&D and Heros, and staying local with Capital is the best option of any. Zero reasons to not go to Capital.
I think the previous post was about Coppermine kids who might be leaving not about where DC area kids should go but thanks for the same point you’ve been making a thousand times now about your paranoia that DC area girls will leave for greener pastures.
