I have not seen functioning government solve much of anything in the last 30 years.   As they say " Government: If you think the problems we create are bad, just wait 'til you see our solutions "[/quote]
Our federal democratic republic form of government has been and still can be a beautiful and effective form of government in the free world. With our two party political system, we need two highly functioning parties in order for there to be the sustained quality in leadership that is needed to maintain a healthy government. [b]Our political parties haven't functioned at an acceptable level for the past few decades [/b]and we're now seeing that reflected in a government that appears to be less effective and less efficient than it once was. We simply need our best and brightest running the show and we haven't had that for while.[/quote]
