[/quote] My family does the name thing too, and growing up I thought it was a thing but as an adult I see it's not, though I always wince when someone starts cutting the cake in the middle of the name so even if a person wanted the name after a few slices were served, they couldn't get. I always cut it and hand it to the birthday person. [/quote]
