Is it though? All these suggestions of 60's and 70's names like Susan? I was born in 1970 and literally have 4 friends named Sue. So boring.
And yes, haha, I have so many friends/acquaintances named Karen! And Cathy/Kathy...

The names from the 50's that are becoming popular, Eleanor, Nora, Josephine are pretty to us, but in about 20 years there will be a ton of them.
And I personally wouldn't want to be one of 3 in my grade with the same name.[/quote]

Do you know what “due for a comeback” means? Susan is due for a comeback because it’s not currently popular. Of course it sounds boring to you since it was wildly popular when you were growing up. But it’s no longer popular and hasn’t been for a couple generations now which makes it seem fresh to parents naming kids now. It’s officially a grandma name now.

Eleanor and Nora are not “becoming popular” they have been popular for at least 10 years at this point. Having 3 kids in the grade w the same name is something that hardly ever happens anymore. Now even the most popular names are given to like .5% of babies born each year. Popular names aren’t as saturated in the population as they used to be.[/quote]
