I totally agree.  They deferred 5500 kids yesterday - plus more in December.  And they will ultimately accept likely fewer than 100 of these?  It's bordering on unethical.[/quote]

I don’t know why deferrals are surprising to you, widespread deferrals have been the main story of this admissions cycle.  UVA has been much more judicis and transparent about their use of them than other schools.  Perhaps UVA is among the more selective of the schools your child applied to, so this is your first experience with it.[/quote]
