I hear this person’s frustration. I thinks what they are saying is that it’s already difficult getting noticed in a classroom, especially in places like Deal, Wilson, Banneker, Murch, etc.

This just adds an additional layer to the disconnect between rich white elites and anyone else who isn’t, especially when it comes to matters of race in the classroom. I do believe it’s an upper class problem, but the fact that the majority of the city isn’t who is in charge of the city makes it even more frustrating.

You are “lost” because you are probably a privileged, upper middle class, white person for whom the pandemic has been a “nice break” when you spent “so much time connecting with your kids” or whatever. Stay in your bubble. It’s nice there. [/quote]

Yeah I’m white but certainly the pandemic has been anything other than a “nice break.”  But that doesn’t at all address the point, which I’m sure will be adores by the anti-maskers.  Are you claiming that masking is racist?  [/quote]
