Not disagreeing with anything else you said, but it's not a nuclear plant, it's an old steel factory. (Yes, things other than nuclear plants have cooling towers.) The repurposing of an old industrial site is one of the few good things I can say about the Olympics (reuse of the 2008 facilities being the other.)

I love that they're touting their more environmentally friendly Olympic torch, while ignoring the impact of having to make ALL the snow that's being used.[/quote]
