There's nothing we can do about that.  We're not the ones threatening war.  We're not going to surrender and we're not going to attack.  We will defend ourselves though.  The choice is entirely up to Russia.   We are not the protagonist in this play.  I thought Russians understood fatalism.[/quote]

Putin is threatening "retaliation" if his demands are not met.  And that is directed at the US.[/quote]
