This is our family too.  It's really nice, but hard to find two nice careers like that, much less two that pay enough to live in expensive areas.  I consider us very fortunate![/quote]

We used to have this balance. DH used to work 40 hours and I worked 30. We had a HHI of about $300-400k back then. That was a decade ago.

DP.  My first instinct is to agree but it depends on the age of the kids. Full-time parenting of young kids is tough and less you have help.  But if the kids are school age that doesn’t sound so bad. PP who posted this can you talk about your lifestyle changes and what your thoughts are[/quote]
