well I just heard of one more kid, so right now in our LCPS school of 400, 6 total have been accepted that I know of. Two via ED and four via EA. Still trying to find out more but we kinda know all the top kids in the class and haven't dug anyone else up YET. But again, normally they do accept about 15. Hopefully that will be the case this year but it is sure not looking that way. I know of now 2 top 5% deferrals. It is not impossible to get in, but it is really a long shot for just about everyone unless you have the top GPA, I will say again. Just heard of another kid well within the top 10% of the class who was deferred with a 1440 and great ECs including state level athletics. You all have can protest all you want but this is what we are all hearing right now. My DC has been talking to other accepted students in our county and the scuttlebutt is that everyone is talking about how many people are getting deferred from their schools. My purpose is not to discourage people from applying but just to reiterate that it is not a sure thing no matter your stats, so have back up options. It will be interesting what happens with VA Tech EA when that comes out in the next week because I heard alot of similar stuff from the ED round there, alot of deferrals from people who thought they were in a "sea of green" on Naviance.
