It is not impossible to get in, but it is really a long shot for just about everyone unless you have the top GPA, I will say again. Just heard of another kid well within the top 10% of the class who was deferred with a 1440 and great ECs including state level athletics. You all have can protest all you want but this is what we are all hearing right now. My DC has been talking to other accepted students in our county and the scuttlebutt is that everyone is talking about how many people are getting deferred from their schools.

My purpose is not to discourage people from applying but just to reiterate that it is not a sure thing no matter your stats, so have back up options.  It will be interesting what happens with VA Tech EA when that comes out in the next week because I heard alot of similar stuff from the ED round there, alot of deferrals from people who thought they were in a "sea of green" on Naviance.[/quote]
