I'd consider that, plus finishing the bsaement right away and maybe a slight upgrade in the kitchen and bath (nothing crazy).[/quote] Yeah, we're trying to decide whether or not to go with a new build and would likely only do something similar--I am torn out the outdoor living space and will probably prioritize a flat lot that would let us sort of do our own thing easily enough in stages that would maybe let us use the yard in more ways. Our first house was a new build and we had a blast designing the outdoor space, used it all the time. We would plan on being in the home for a long time, so the idea of spending a boatload on upgrades for the kitchen and baths likely doesn't make sense for us, knowing we'll want to change/upgrade down the road. Going up by one level for cabinets, I believe, gets you decent cabinet options with the soft close and then I'd just want a good looking countertop for the kitchen. [/quote]
