your kid will not be 9 years old in middle school.
going to school with some kids who aren't rich is not being "on the front lines of generational poverty" any more than riding the bus or working in an office or shopping at a store or seeing a movie with people who don't live in million-dollar homes. There are plenty of kids in current Wells feeders whose parents are DC government employees, taxi drivers, nurses, construction workers, and lots of other things. Most are not in poverty; they just can't afford--or don't want--to live in Barnaby Woods or wherever. Their kids are not going to make your kids poor or low-class any more than your kids are going to make their kids snooty and entitled.[/quote]
