They haven’t brought it up since saying they would postpone until June.  My feeling is they are waiting to see what comes out of the instructional pathways— it’s possible that some option schools will be eliminated (ats or campbell), or maybe they will grow programs enough to justify moving them to reed and reversing the decision to have reed be a neighborhood school.  Who knows— your guess is as good as mine.
If someone figures out a solution to have two neighborhood school sites in the eastern part of the county without having to move immersion, then I think that key will stay where it is.  Or if they revise their projections and decide that they don’t need two school sites there, then key will likely remain where it is.  Who knows.  Or even then they may decide to punt on it for several years so that there isn’t as big a neighborhood group that goes to key.  Your guess is as good as mine.
If you are set on asfs, then you might want to look in the area right around key.  But you need to be prepared that you might get moved to a new school in 2021.  Even if asfs moves to key, it’s not going to be the same school population as it is now, and it’s boundaries will likely look strange if they make two neighborhood schools.  The school at key will be more like long branch, or Taylor, or Barrett depending on what happens.  Other parts of the county are more stable in terms of zoning, if that matters to you.[/quote]

Instructional pathways will be "decided" by June but where to put the option schools (whatever they may be) won't be decided until at least the fall-- but that date can change.  Basically, they don't have to make any "final" decisions on school locations or boundaries until December 2020 when they have to come out with the K Orientation booklet for the SY2021-22.  Previously, APS indicated that the decision about where to move the option schools would be made by this December (giving them a year to mess with the boundaries), but I suspect they will punt the option location decisions until next year too.
