And I don't know any kids being "forced" to play travel by their parents, for the vast majority it is the other way around.[/quote] +1 I have had 3 boys go through U9 and U10 in NCSL. There are 9 or so games per season, so roughly 4 or 5 away games. In my the 6 total years between my boys I'd say the average away game is a 20 minute-drive from us. One time (once!) we drove to West Virginia. Once NCSL starts real divisions, with promotion and relegation one-hour drives may be part of the deal, but still likely not more than 2 times per season.
