They've both said they wouldn't have divorced if it hadn't been for the papparazi/media circus in the 80s/90s putting so much pressure on them, and also the fact that they don't receive the income from the gov't necessary to keep up the level of clothes/jewels/etc. that would have let Fergie off the hook when it came to being called "fumpie," etc..

For many years, they still spent much of the year together. After the girls got older, Fergie moved to the US, I think.

Some of you may not be old enough to remember, but there was almost as much media coverage of her as of Diana, and it was much less kind. And look what happened to Diana![/quote]
