Federal judges' ethics rules prohibit lots of activities that would yield outside income. Being a rich federal judge has nothing to do with being 'good.' Rich federal judges either -- inherited wealth, earned wealth in private practice before the bench, or are married to a wealthy spouse. [/quote]
