These partnerships are just silly. There is nothing preventing a U12 kid from any club in the country in trying out for FVU (or any other ECNL/GA club) at U13 and completely pass over the ADP sessions used to try and get a head start on who is worthy. If my kid is from one of these clubs do I get a discount? No. The only thing we might get is the chance to pay for uniforms each summer for USL-youth. People will always find the shiny badge.
unless the kid is elite they will be in back of line. The coaches talk behind scenes to promote their clubs kids.
Nonsense, Valor couldn't get kids on NVA teams.
that was purely nepotism.
Over the past year, a couple of Valor girls have been added to NVA, and these players are very talented. This isn’t about nepotism but rather about their ability to compete at a high level. The truth is, Valor typically doesn’t have strong coaching at the U9-U12 levels to properly prepare these girls for such competitive play. The Valor girls who made it to NVA have put in extra training beyond their regular club sessions. Instead of complaining about nepotism, Valor should focus on improving its own development system.
