Gerry Turner is engaged again. His fiancé is in her mid-50s (he's 74), and they met after she contacted him via Facebook. https://entertainmentnow.com/the-bachelor/gerry-turner-announces-engagement/
I don't get the vibe that his marriage was a great love match. After being kind of a loser most of his life, he finally has money, freedom, and the kind of pretty, adventurous woman he always wanted. I'm not a fan, but I don't blame him for trying to live the dream with whatever time he has left. Good luck to her.
One of a million bleached blondes. You men are easy to dazzle.
Gerry is as basic as they come.
Withholding judgment for now, but I suspect Mel might not be as basic. I can't envision Gerry reading books about Picasso, for instance. Mel's ex, though much younger of course, is a naturally pretty brunette and not at all plastic. I don't think he really likes Nicolle, and keeping her was the producers' idea. I could see him ending up with Cindy, who is intelligent as well as beautiful. I can't see him with any of the others, except *possibly* Debbie. Not sure he's very attracted to her though. He enjoys Peggy as a person, but she'll be friend zoned. No spark with Cheryl. He was basically ignoring the plastic blondes while macking on Cindy. I think he didn't give her the rose because producers don't want him to telegraph that he likes her the best. Anyway, I'm okay with someone who is boring if he is actually genuine, and the opposite of Gerry. The acrimonious divorce and failure to pay up are very troubling though. I assume he was willing to do the show as a strategy to replenish the coffers as he gears up to deal with his financial obligations. A guy his age, wealthy and handsome, does not need this to meet women.
