This is not crazy. Abortion is regulated at the state level so it makes perfect sense that people voted blue for their state but red for the president. The voter is always right.

I've found there's a natural smugness and inclination for Dems to talk down to Americans. No matter the issue and no matter which Democrat they support. It's always “you’re dumb for believing xyz”. Or how could anyone ever believe xyz? They live in a bubble and don't realize how off-putting they are.
