Objectively Ukraine striking the plant and blaming Russia makes sense It's sure to garner sympathy, perhaps get them more support and force against Russia and no one would believe that they did it. Plus destroy a valuable asset before the enemy does is not unheard-of. There's no " good reason" for Russia to strike the plant they know it will ramp up action and outrage towards them plus that functional plant would be a valuable asset to them. It's also possible it was an accidental hit by one or the other and blaming the other works because accidentally striking a nuclear plant makes you an idiot.
This is insane. You do know that Russia now has control of the plant, right? How do you think this happened? And, the employees there have stated that Russia's plan is told hold Europe hostage by threatening to turn off the power. Lovely. There is no way Ukraine would do this. This was Russia. [twitter]https://twitter.com/AntiGOPActivist/status/1499780192297836544[/twitter]
DP but actually it makes more sense. Why would Russia bombed the plant when they know they need the plant to hold Europe hostage by turning off the power? A plant which would be valuable to them? It seems more likely Ukraine knew Russia was about to take the plant did not want Russia to have that valuable asset (which I agree and would probably do if I was in their shoes).
