How come men care about a woman's previous sex life but unless the guy was a porn star, women couldn't care less about a man's previous history? Seriously, I have never heard of a woman saying a man had too many sex partners.
The answer is so obvious if you will see it without looking through politically correct goggles. Men are expected to try to sleep with as many women as possible. If they are successful and have a high number, that makes them attractive to a woman because other women have desired their man. They are a hot commodity. Women are expected to be a lot more selective because, let's be honest, finding sex partners isn't exactly hard for women. They can have it whenever and wherever they choose, so a high number is a sign of a lack of self control. Even an undesirable mate could have just about as many partners as she wants. Dislike it all you want, it won't be changing in the foreseeable future. Truth doesn't adhere to a politically correct agenda.
What does getting it easily have to do with anything? It's fun! You know, some women make choices because of what they want instead of what they think makes them desirable to men. I think food is a very good analogy. Rich people (beautiful, desirable women in my analogy) still want and enjoy naughty, cheap food (fun sex with hot, smoldering guys who are not husband material) even when they can afford organic, locally farmed everything (a good quality long-term mate). Now, I agree that moderation and self control is important. Which is why it makes sense to differentiate between the woman who's had several STDs, abortions, and children outside of marriage from one who responsibly enjoyed herself before selecting someone appropriate from a mult-dimensional point of view for marriage. But if you are too risk averse about this, you'll end up with a woman who just doesn't like sex all that much. Many men learn this the hard way.
