Oh I know people who claim PH is in McLean and one who claimed it was Falls Church City. You would not be the first.
I'd only do so sarcastically. I love PH and am proud that we've got our own thing going on.
+1 PH is awesome. Location, location, location. And the people are nice, too.
I always thought of Pimmit as part of Mclean. Is it not?
It abuts McLean. It is what most of certain parts of McLean probably looked like, not that long ago (before the "transplants - BAHAHA!).
McLean had and still has some smaller, older homes, but it never had a development like PH with 1675 homes under 1200 square feet (many under 1000 SF). Both McLean/22101 and Falls Church/22043, however, have seen major appreciation over the past decade, like North Arlington and unlike Great Falls.
Here's another interesting fact about PH: The trailer park in the NBC sitcom My Name Is Earl is named "Pimmit Hills Trailer Park" after the neighborhood. The series creator, Greg Garcia, lived in Pimmit Hills for a time as a child.[6]
LOL, PP. I remember that the show. Is the previous fact correct 1675 homes under 1200 sq ft. No wonder its constant teardowns in the neighborhood. I was considering rent my old colonial out in Arlington and buying new in PH. But I saw all the activity and send PH probably still has another 10 yrs of construction. BTW, I would love to buy in Great Falls now but commute into downtown would be soul crushing and detrimental to my health (less time for gym/walking to and from metro).
