Which it obviously can achieve without belonging to a contiguous and self-incorporated town with its own mayor. Your argument is idiotic. Look at Langley - are you going to say that the kids living at the border with Sterling are anywhere in the same neighborhood as the kids in north McLean? Yet Langley manages to outdo Madison based on any measurement you will care to trot out next.

Just whipe the anti-Marshall foam off your mouth and go to Madison - no one is trying to take it way from you, or force an IB program there. Putting other schools down is a sign of insecurity - wonder why, if Madison is so, so superior.[/quote]

You seem to be arguing that because TJ and Langley have different strengths, that makes Marshall, which lacks the advantages of either school, look better.  That's not a very good argument.

Sorry if the prospect that someone might decide not to pupil out of Madison to send their kids to Marshall, even though Madison is (gasp) outside the Beltway, bothers you.   [/quote]
