Some places are more urban and more plowed out than others.  Supermarkets and most retail near me is open.  Somehow they have  hourly wage workers to staff their stores and are willing to be there.   My kid is at tae kwon do this afternoon, and the learning center near me seems to be open too.  MCPS is hurting the hourly wage aftercare workers by not letting them work if certain schools are able to be opened.

SO you think MCPS should go,  X school is clear, it can have daycare, ad Y school is clear so MS students there can go back, and then Z is not clear so that HS should have classes online, and A ES school and its neighborhoods are clear so those kids can go back to school.?

A single business opening vs a school district with 200+ schools, across four levels, that also has to be worried about transportation and kids/families walking, not to mention various ages of infrastructure.  These are not the same things.
