Good grief you guys!! Trump is not wrong about the ice in Greenland vs Iceland: ( AI overview) “Greenland has vastly more ice than Iceland; over 80% of Greenland is covered by a massive ice sheet, while only about 10-11% of Iceland is covered by glaciers, with Greenland also being geographically much larger and situated further north, making it significantly colder. Key Differences in Ice Cover: Greenland: Holds the world's second-largest ice sheet (after Antarctica), covering about 80% of its landmass. Iceland: Has glaciers and ice caps covering roughly 10-11% of its surface. 🇮🇸 “
Are you for real??? Yes, it’s true that Greenland is icier than Iceland - but nevertheless they are named what they are named and Trump in his demented state confused one for the other. He wasn’t expressing geological insight - he’s far too stupid.
Greenland also has more green land than Iceland! Do you think Trump wants Greenland for its ice? He wants the minerals in the ground. MAGA is too illiterate and innumerate to comprehend basic facts, and too dishonest and shameless to ever admit a mistake. Also, if they admitted their mistakes, they wouldn't have time to do anything else in life.
No, that’s incorrect. There is far more green land on Iceland than Greenland. Greenland is rocks and ice - ice hundreds of feet deep. Iceland has far more exposed land with vegetation on it. My dad was stationed in Greenland in the Army back in the 60s and always joked about the misnomers. Here: https://icelanddiscover.is/iceland-called-iceland/
Ask your local 4th grader to explain to you the difference between percentages and whole numbers. Greenland actually has more than three times the amount of vegetated land than Iceland does. Iceland is mostly volcanic desert. Greenland Vegetated Area: ~87,475 km^2 (and growing thanks to.... global warming!) Iceland Vegetated Area: ~24,000 km^2
