Had your children gone to the Correct Manhattan High School followed by the Correct University, they would have no interest in such plebeian pastimes. Therefore, even though she has no intention of sharing either her money or her status with you, she is urging you to make your own children feel ashamed of the things that bring them joy. ugh, I think it's possible to say that many schools are full of kids who didn't go to high school games and probably won't go to a college football game

I went to a big football college and only went to basketball games.
