Uncle Hershel logo returning after the CEO's big OOPS.
They rectified their big mistake. https://www.cnn.com/2025/08/26/business/cracker-barrel-old-logo
So happy to hear this.
For the love of god, WHY?
Because I liked the old logo? Is that ok with you? JFC.
+1 It has more character. Represents the beloved uncle of the founder and old timey Tennessee country stores which inspired the uniqueness of the Cracker Barrel restaurant chain. There was absolutely no need to change to a bland, boring orange sign that a first grader could have designed.
Styles change. Corporate logos change. I know conservatives hate change but extending that to graphic design is really…something.
Oh, please. Design change? Graphic design? It wasn't even clever or artistic. Just a forgettable, bland orange shape with words on it. Hope no "artist" got paid for it!
Boring is still “graphic design”. You don’t have to like it, but that’s what it is. It’s a logo. It’s speaks volumes about MAGA’s mental fitness and intellect that they so easily fall for this stupid fake culture war. Trump is pedophile and he paid to r@pe children .Pay attention to THAT. Get angry about THAT.
+1 If your culture is this wrapped up in what the billboard for the restaurant you like next to the interstate looks like you REALLY need more things to worry about.
The two of you probably love Ikea furniture and gray walls, and that's fine. Glad you think an orange blob with the words Cracker Barrel is attractive and creative. FWIW, my "culture" isn't wrapped up in any company business-- and that includes Target and Chik fila-- but I think it's ok to have an opinion and express it verbally and by withholding money.
OMG you could not be more wrong. My house is chock full of antiques and estate sale finds and stuff that belonged to my parents and grandparents. I’m the one pointing out way above that people younger than me do NOT like that vibe and the people who do are a smaller and smaller chunk of the market. And of course it’s fine to have an opinion and express it but you have to admit a huge amount of the Cracker Barrel discourse is about culture and politics and wokeness and other BS. That’s what’s ridiculous. Sometimes a logo is just a logo.
PP here. Glad you love antiques and your parents' and grandparents' things. I'm the same! :) I agree with all you said about what's ridiculous politically, etc. I just think the new logo is vanilla and ugly and that some updating was appropriate but that they went too far from their old time Tennessee country atnisphere.
