You are correct. I am Asian and don't care at all. My personal opinion is that these two people have no taste, and for public occasions, choose to present themselves in a vulgar way, not even as a deliberate choice, but because they don't know any better, not having been raised in elegant households. But they might be kind people once you get to know them. So I'm not going to criticize *too much*. [/quote]

There are plenty of European and Asian families (and exceedingly few Americans) who are explicitly taught how to act as members of the modern upper classes. [/b]How to dress for all occasions, how to greet people, what to talk about, how to eat and with which utensil, how to drink, how to walk, express respect in different cultures, etc. Also please look at who they invited. Some of these guests would never have been invited in certain circles.
