Say what you want, I'm a yoga teacher and she is a legit teacher and a good one. I have no dog in the fight but she is pretty good. I mean I think she's crazy but...
I've read the snark Reddit for Hilaria since 2020. Several former students and instructors from her pre-Alec days have posted. She was involved with Yoga To The People (YTTP), which many consider a cult. She was dating the owner who made her an instructor after she had 2 weeks experience with Yoga. They have reported she has no official Yoga Instructor credentials. Some articles have falsely claimed she was a co-owner of a follow-on Yoga studio. Redditors pulled the business records and she was never listed on any documents. The real owner didn't correct the narrative, probably because by then she was getting press for dating Alec and it helped get business for his studio. People trained in Yoga say many of her techniques are awful and some downright dangerous and recommended to avoid (standing on your head while "pregnant"). There was another story of an over-crowded Yoga class in a room with glass and Hilaria had the students do some questionable position where a guy crashed into the glass and injured himself, and IIRC, had to file a lawsuit to cover his injuries. Then look up the video where she was brought into a department store with a crowd of Yoga students, all ready with their mats. Hilaria stands on the little stage and has them do jumping jacks, then wiggling around with quick jerks to show off her T&A. The looks on the confused students faces are priceless. Several just stopped following her and stood there staring angrily. There was NO Yoga involved. Watch all her IG videos - ridiculous movements that she calls Yoga but are really more suitable to an OnlyFans situation.
I think this gets to the heart of why Hilaria evokes such strong reactions in people. It's insulting to be told obvious lies and then to be chastised for not believing the obvious lies. I had a conversation the other day with my teen daughter. I was noting that Ariana Grande appears to have made it all the way through the racial stereotype catalogue, from presenting as black, then Latina, then briefly had a surgical procedure that made her appear Asian, and now she's a white theater kid type. My daughter told me that Ariana took a lie detector test that proved she had no eye surgery. Okay, look, people's eyes dont suddenly and drastically change shape on their own. It is clear as day that she had some kind of very not-subtle "fox eye" type procedure. Come on now, just own it. Ariana, you had an eye surgery and are of entirely European descent. Hilaria, you have had your entire face reconstructed, your breasts stretched to the point the skin may fail, and your life as a Spanish person is a lie. And that's all fine, you do you. But don't demand that we participate in you delusions. When people noticed she wasn't Spanish, she could have said something like, "aye! Pero my life, es mas divertido as an esthapanish woman." And we would have thought she was insane but basically harmless. It's the demand that we go along with it all that gets them in trouble and that's why this reality show is infuriating to critics and unwatchable to normal audiences.
