Its concerning.
When has anyone, much less "everyone," said they are "anti-immigrant"? The problem under discussion is illegal immigration.
They want to limit legal migration too and think their ancestors were special.
Which countries in the modern era have no limits on legal migration?
Well what cons are their to legal immigration? I thought you guys were against illegal migration not anti-immigrant? This country could fit 500 million more people.
Oh dear no, that would mean waiting 4 hours in line to ride a ride at Disney World. Close the borders!
You either have no children or they're not enrolled in a public school in which 60% or more of the students are classified as ESOL.
+1
Those kids deserve education just like yours.
Not in this country, if they came here illegally. Yes, in the country they left.
Well the law says their entitled to it. Do you not agree with that law?
No. And I hope someone challenges it and SCOTUS overturns the law.
So you guys all agree that those children do not deserve education. That education would have been helpful for them to improve their homelands so that more would not need to come. If their not in school, what should they be doing all day?
They should be in school. In their home countries. What good is an education here when they can't work here legally?
Are you a pro-border dem? I know most regular Americans are anti-migrant, fine. But, I'm not sure of this opinion is really coming from a Democrat.
Yes. The approval rating for immigration right now is over 50%. These are the policies most Americans want, including democrats. Anyone with kids in public schools for the last 4 years could tell you this without looking at a poll. The amount of resources that have been poured into citizens of other countries has been astronomical. Everyone's patience and resources has a limit. Biden and Mayorkas really screwed this up.
+1. Another "pro border" Dem. I'm actually convinced this is why we keep losing at the national and state levels. People are so tired of this.
Instead of blaming Republicans your blaming the Democratic party. Going moderate might help you win but long term Gen Z won't continue that.
Democrats supported far left immigration policy in the last few years to get the Hispanic vote, only for them to turn around and vote for Trump in 2024. You should blame the DNC. The DNC has no idea what they are doing. I take predictive statements from them about what any demographic will do with a grain of salt.
Democrats don't actually care about what they say they do and they just want votes?
This is true. They said they were going to implement a humane approach. They whine about all kinds of consequences of enforcement, but during Biden's term hundreds if not thousands of migrants died in the desert being drawn by the false promise of amnesty. Humane? I don't think so. They don't actually care if what they are doing is humane.
In the first few months of 2025, nearly 50 migrant deaths were reported along the U.S.-Mexico border, averaging more than one death per day. These fatalities are often due to extreme heat, dehydration, and hazardous terrain encountered during the journey. Migrants are still going to come but will be taking even greater risk to enter undetected under the Trump administration. Same thing in Europe. 2000-3000 a year die trying to get to Europe, specifically Greece, Spain, and Italy. There are a lot of desperate people in the world that will risk their lives and that of their loved ones to migrate to safer countries. As climate change worsens and civil unrest in 3rd world countries continues, expect to see more migrants.
+ 10000 And focus the rage and energy on demanding immigration/asylum law reform that allows for a healthy flow of immigrants from all over the world.
