I didn’t omit anything.  I quoted the sentence I objected to after someone shouted “NO ONE SAID HE BELIEVED IN A GOD” as a response to that.  The post I quoted from had nothing about “supernatural crap” although one much prior did.

You have your panties in a twist when you should not because we mostly agree.  Try just reading what people type instead of making gigantic assumptions and you won’t look so bad.  If you are unsure, it is OK to ask.  But no, you went right to calling people “idiot” .

- he became born again Christian as a teen 
- he obtained religious-related degrees from two evangelical Christian colleges and a seminary

- as evidenced by his cv…his entire life, education, and career exist deeply within the framework of Christianity - he’s a theologian, FFS
- nobody disputes his current beliefs about supernatural crap 
- DCUM believers are obsessed about him and bring him up in many threads

We weren’t discussing if Bart believes in god or not, we were discussing historical Jesus. Bart was presented as a source. He isn’t an independent source because he has spent his entire life embedded in Christianity. Christianity is much more than the supernatural crap.

And your analogy is dumb. He’s more like someone who grew up in the Capone family and became an FBI informant later in life. Then wrote some books about it. That person was still deeply embedded in the mafia world even if he isn’t technically “helping” Capone anymore.
