Ask the kids a VCU what they think of the Richmond kids.
What does this mean?
It means exactly what you think it means.
DP. Maybe they're jealous of the wealth and intelligence of the Richmond kids? Jealous that the Richmond kids were selected by a committee out of a large pool of applicants to be a part of an exclusive community while they're stuck at a place with a 90% acceptance rate and a median SAT in the 1100s?
I’d hire the VCU kid. At least they don’t rely on wealth to get in college and then pretend they’re more intelligent. Be honest, UR accepts wealthy kids that can afford to play the selective admission game.
NP. It’s a pointless comparison. The majority of UR students come from the northeast, and of course they’re going to be relatively far more wealthy than the majority of in-state Virginians at VCU. I used to work in Richmond alongside several graduates of both schools. They were all capable and smart and nice. VCU kids tend to be a little scrappier and self-reliant, UR kids a little more sheltered and coddled. But everyone has their place.
This is a fair assessment. Sheltered and coddled isn’t the best impression for the UR boosters to defend.
According to Niche, median 6 year earnings are $44k for VCU, $64k for UR. So obviously some employers hold a more favorable opinion of UR than PP. Those numbers aren't like, Harvard good, but they're good.
The VCU kids don’t have mommy and daddy to employ them or get them an interview with a friend’s firm.
UR just screams “spoiled mediocre rich kids.” It is the USC is the east. Shallow. Spoiled. Entitled. Would never send my kids there.
I agree. I don’t get why anyone would ever send their kids to Richmond.
And Elon screams dumb@ss. Which is worse?
I can say with 99.9% certainty the people dissing on Richmond have nothing to do with Elon so going after the wrong people. Can everyone just relax and be kind!
