They have very high standards, much smaller school districts. Poor kids in Massachusetts do better than poor kids everywhere else. Even corrected for student demographics, Massachusetts is #1 in the country based on the NAEP. If Massachusetts was a country, they would be one of the highest scoring in the world on the PISA.[/quote]
