I'll go slower: The very people who whine about immigration, are the same people who are the reason for America's demise. The types of people who are regressive in their stances. Trump tells low-skill "real Americans" that coal is coming back. They voted against their own interests. Obama had earmarked millions to retrain coal miners so that they could actually compete in a world leaving them behind.  They rejected his offer. Same situation with these dock workers and others who stupidly support policies against their own interests. Automation is coming whether they like it or not, so if you're getting offered retraining at some point and you'd rather listen to an orange pos liar tell you he's fighting for you rather than the CEOs looking to screw you over, then don't whine about being poor.
