At my kid’s university you have to submit it for consideration for private and departmental scholarships. We were pleasantly surprised. To borrow that $5500 that any student can freshman year, a FAFSA has to be in place. I bought VA 529 prepaid tuition contracts for all three kids. Best deal out there. We didn’t borrow but I’m glad people paying ten to twenty years are getting some relief. The can buy homes, refrigerators, cars and have babies now. It’s good for the economy.[/quote]
