Democrats need to stop worrying about blacks voters voting for Trump and instead focus on why people don't want to vote for Biden. The list is long: age, immigration, support for Israel, policies regarding sexual identity, homelessness, access to healthcare, housing, CRIME, etc. People living in urban areas really have a lot to grapple with and fear mongering them to not vote for Trump is not going to work this time. And it has everything to do with believing that Democrats won't deliver on these issues and less to do with believing Trump will solve these problems (we know he won't).
So how is any of that somehow a big decision point item? Age - Trump is almost as old as Biden and in worse physical and mental shape Immigration - Trump doesn't have any legitimate working solutions either Support for Israel - Trump was buddy-buddy with Bibi Netanyahu Sexual identity - what do you think Trump is going to do? Maybe mock people over their sexual identity, but certainly won't have any kind of coherent policy Homelessness - The GOP doesn't give a single crap about the homeless Access to healthcare - from the Republicans who take massive donations from big pharma and the health insurance industry, they want to kill medicare, defund NIH and medical research, make you leave the state in order to get a medically necessary abortion even when your life is in danger, get rid of vaccines and all kinds of crazy shit. Housing - Republicans have ZERO solutions on housing and are propped up by real estate speculators who've caused the cost of housing to spike Crime - Republicans don't have any answers on crime, just more of the same old failed war on drugs, mass incarceration of blacks, more racial profiling, and everything else There's no fear mongering needed. This is their actual track record. This is reality. This is fact. You wanna be mad that Democrats haven't done enough to fix any of this - but Republicans are the ones breaking everything and making it so that it needs to be fixed in the first place.
Pardon me for expecting the man I voted for in 2020 to actual fix some of the problems that concern some of his constituents. Didn't Biden promise to clean up this mess? In some instances he's doing the same thing Trump did and has made other things worse.
That’s ridiculous.
Which part is ridiculous?
Blaming the President for not magically making all your dreams come true when almost every other government, public, and private institution in the country is controlled by obstructionists. Biden is doing as much as any President can do on the issues you complain about.
+1000 Biden was handed a shit sandwich of a broken economy by Trump, and a country ravaged by over a million dead from COVID, broken supply chain, massive debt with nothing to show for it, more than 75% of Americans living paycheck to paycheck, and turned America around to where unemployment dropped back down to record lows including for African-Americans, made much needed investments in American infrastructure and industry, IN SPITE of a completely dysfunctional GOP-run House of Representatives.
Unemployment depends on how you count it. If people just retire and you stop counting them, then of course you're going to have low unemployment rates. What exactly would you like the House to do? Just keep passing spending bills of every social program and handout you want because "you want"? Well F no. Your whole outlook on budgets is screwed up. You think everyone is owed by the tax payer. They aren't. Half the country doesn' even pay any income taxes b/c of a HIGHLY progressive tax system (more progressive than many countries in Europe BTW), and your democrat party champions importing even more poverty from central and south America. Why? Becausd it makes you feel better I guess. It's INSANE. Are you admitting to Cloward and Piven as a strategy? Is that the plan??
LMAO. The house has -quite literally- done nothing. Nothing. They can even keep stable leadership-or any leadership- much less pass meaningful legislation. They can’t even agree to fund the government. Whatever it is you’re not—ing about, taxes or otherwise, the House isn’t offering any solutions, much less meaningful solutions, to those or anything else. That’s not on Biden. At all.
