You can’t cherry-pick. It’s a pride parade with inappropriate (and I’m being kind) behavior being demonstrated in front of little children. I’ve been to pride parades in P-town and the way little children are used on those floats is very offensive. I don’t care what adults do, but involving kids in these manners is wholly inappropriate. Not sure about murderers, but Christians sure do have a lot of child predators in their ranks.  If we are serious about protecting children, shouldn't Congress be creating laws that ban children from being alone with priests and youth pastors?  I mean from reading these, it seems that church is a wholly inappropriate place for children to be:

Why is this a false equivalence?  Because it doesn't suit your fictious narrative that trans and drag queens are the leading cause of sexual abuse for children?

I agree, at least in nearly all instances. There have been examples of drag queens using DQSH for inappropriate purposes, but there are also many examples of straight men using children’s activities for inappropriate purposes, so I don’t think it’s fair to tar all drag queens that way.

My issue with DQSH is that it teaches children, particularly girls, that mocking women and particularly women’s physical appearances is acceptable behavior by men. Drag degrades women. DQSH is deeply regressive sexism at heart and I do not think it’s healthy for children, especially girls. It teaches girls that mocking women for being women, particularly older women, is fine so long as men are doing it. [/quote]

If it were only straight men who were doing drag then perhaps you'd have a point. But as we all know, drag queens are typically gay men who likewise traditionally constitute an oppressed group of people. And if you actually meet and talk to drag queens you'd see that they are not "mocking" women. That is a right wing talking point. It is on you if you think that a drag queen is "mocking" women.

Also I think it's telling that people like you never bring up women who dress in a stereotypical masculine way. Is that "mocking" men? And many women performers adopt a kind of "drag queen" persona. Just look at Dolly Parton.
