MCEA continues to fail to read the room. Whatever good will they built up since the pandemic ended is gone again, and they’re probably worse off than when they refused to go back to schools in person after running over senior citizens to get vaccinated.
Their histrionics today are just embarrassing.
The statement makes me question whether MCPS teachers have any critical reasoning skills whatsoever.
This statement makes me question whether mcps parents have functioning brains. What’s that? You’re not at all the same? Guess what? Neither are teachers.
You are right, the statements that the parents' union puts out are ridiculous...oh wait
The Parents' Coalition, if that's what you're referring to, is an independent advocacy association that not all or even a majority of parents belong to. They are an activist group with an agenda. The MCEA, which all MCPS teachers not only belong to but also pay dues to and elect representatives for, is in fact the voice of all teachers in MCPS. So that comparison between the Parents' Coalition and MCEA doesn't really hold water.
