Y'all have no ides how insulting and hurtful you are to kids who worked hard and still got into respectable 4-year universities.  Do you realize the pressure to compete they already feel and the toll that takes on mental health for many of your kids? Not every kid at the "finest" private schools get into Ivy League or top 20's.  Nor does it matter. More important than where you go is what you do while you're there.  Getting into a top 20 school doesn't guarantee a life of happiness.  And getting rejected by a top 20 doesn't doom a kid to a life of misery.  [/quote]

I usually would agree with you, but I suspect in this case the PP posted that the colleges were not top 20 because of the repeated insistence by some on this site that Basis is the #1 school in the area.  While I'm sure that the kids at Basis get a good education and these are certainly solid college results, it's ridiculous to claim that it's better than every other school in the DMV.  [/quote]

There goes the bs! There isn’t even a link for Flint Hill matriculations.  They weren’t even in the conversation.  To me however, they are more impressive than Potomac’s and just as good as Madeira’s at least.
