When Affirmative Action is removed, I worry White families might continue to feel their kids will be at a disadvantage. Going by scores alone, most elite schools will be filled with Asian American students.
Curious why this is a worry. Because your assumption that these institutions should belong to white hands? That's the crux of all this. Someone is taking something from White kids. I would love 10 years of Asian only admits to see how that shakes out in society - for so many reasons!
First of all, AA is going to be replaced by DEI - so don't worry your head about Asians taking over. Also, if Asians want US colleges to be "only Asian only" why not attend school in Asia?
dp.. no one said they only *wanted* to go university that was all Asian, whether that becomes the case due to no affirmative action or not. Think about caltech, high number of Asian. Are you telling me that a URM kid who is brilliant in STEM wouldn't apply to caltech because there are "too many Asians"? How about "too many whites"? Would that be a problem?
