I saw talk of T Swift up above, and I think she's genius for song writing that connects with her audience. Plus aesthetics that connect with them.

I love a lot of old 70s rock, that is more my style, and also what I think of as "psychedelic" rock, which Pink Floyd is, and Led Zepp maybe-ish. Those guys, maybe not the best people IRL, but they are smart rockers. Understood a lot about the parts of a piece, and what would make a person want to listen to it for longer than the average pop song length. And the love of music is in there, palpable.

I think Prince is a genius. Tom Petty. NWA. Eazy E. Britney Spears is a genius. Really. She actually is, but she has probs, like being under conservatorship for 10+ years by her abusive family.

Anyway, I adore artists. Lots more geniuses but this is who I thought of this minute.
