They are clearly very jesus-y. He said on the show that their objection is to their living together during this phase of the show. Who knows. I don't think he thinks they are racist though, it seems like they are VERY christian and likely kind of kooky, really strict ideas about sin kind of christian and Cole is experiencing kind of a religious awakening in addition to navigating the situation with Zay. You can see he is very troubled and confused that he has been rejected like this by his family. I think it is coming as a big surprise to him. [/quote]
