How, if in Texas everyone is ok with just buying an assault rifle at a local sporting goods store, do police not have a supply of them to bring to such a situation? Don’t they have those armored vehicles we bought them? And couldn’t they have just gone to the same sporting goods store and picked up the same gun and rounds of ammunition as they leisurely drove to the school? I am sure the truth of what happened is even worse than what the police are sharing, though it strains me to imagine how that could be at this point.
They had the weaponry. The did not have the tactical equipment to protect themselves. They still should have gone in[/quote So what, they buy ar 15s but not body armor? Is body armor not legal to buy but ar 15s are? Are the republicans in the senate aware of this? How will I stand my ground without my armored suit to protect myself? And did they not have means to aim from a distance? I mean if you want ar15s available at every drive through, it does seem like police need to be outfitted to expect that criminals will be using them routinely and arm themselves appropriately. What is next, are they going to stop doing car chases because they only bought bicycles and can’t keep up?
