There's a huge shortage because those doing student teaching their senior year of college are seeing how terrible it is and not going into teaching after graduation. I had a student teacher from August to December and she decided being in the classroom is not for her. I still keep in touch and she's currently in her 2nd round of interviews for a FFX Co. Government job. Good for her! I have 1 more year to get my full benefits and I'm OUT. [/quote]
