Woody Allen is human garbage too, but he's not trying to make public policy.  The GOP literally prevented the US from signing onto the UN Convention on Rights of a Child because they think child abuse is a family decision.  The "church" the Duggars represent demand that women be completely subservient to men - and then men can do whatever tf they want.  His politics/beliefs absolutely figure in here.[/quote]

Woody Allen's politics and beliefs (cultural and politics) also show through his work. He absolutely uses his work to try to influence cultural and societal norms.
