[/quote] So, if the GA legislature had not passed this law.... - Drop boxes would have completely gone away since they were only an emergency measure during Covid and not part of GA law. - Nothing would have been done about the long lines at polling places. The new law addresses that. - The extended weekend voting hours would not be in place since those were not part of GA law. - Signature verification for absentee voting would have remained in place - this is more subjective than having an ID number of some type (and the type that is allowed is VERY flexible in GA) IOW - much of what happened in 2020 was a result of emergency measures. They were not part of GA law and would have disappeared. [/quote]
